I wrote this song remembering a girl who loved me. In my adolescence I could not return what she gave to me. Later, I understood what she had for me was meant for me. I know this because what she gave is unlikely found. It took a trail of failed relationships to show me what I missed was a beautiful gift. Not something made or purchased, but a gift.

With this song I wrote the lyrics and lyrical rhythm before any instruments were even imagined. This was new to me as I normally begin with guitar riffs.
